Ages 7–18

Youth Program

Sacred Heart Rugby teaches boys ages 7 to 18 the game of rugby — and the character that comes with it. We compete against local schools and clubs across the region, and we welcome players who have never touched a rugby ball.

What rugby teaches

Three things we do not compromise on

At Sacred Heart Rugby, we are dedicated to forming boys into young men by cultivating Christian manly virtues. Through the physical challenge of rugby, we instill values such as selflessness, courage, and respect.

01

Selflessness

Rugby does not reward the player who runs alone. Every metre gained belongs to the boys who cleared the ruck and made the pass.

02

Courage

There is no hiding on a rugby pitch. Boys learn to put themselves in front of the contact, get up, and go again.

03

Respect

Respect for the referee, for the opposition, and for the game itself. It is the first thing we teach and the last thing we compromise on.
